Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 19.08.2026 · Last Updated: 19.08.2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Amory Apps Corp (“SubStrike,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information about you when you use the SubStrike mobile application, our websites, our onboarding quiz, and related services (together, the “Service”).
SubStrike helps you keep track of the recurring subscriptions you pay for, see what is renewing, and decide what to cancel. The Service is intended for adults aged 18 and over located in the United States.
The short version: we do not connect to your bank, we never see your card number, we do not sell your personal information, and everything about your subscriptions is information you entered yourself.
1. Who This Policy Applies To
This Policy applies to everyone who uses the Service. It is written for adult account holders and covers information about you — including information you enter about your own spending. It does not cover third-party websites or merchants we link to.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
- Account information. Your email address, used for passwordless sign-in via a one-time code. Optionally, a display name.
- Subscription entries. The name of each service you track, the amount and currency, billing cycle, start and renewal dates, category, payment-method label (for example, “personal card” or the last four digits, if you choose to enter them), status, and any notes you add.
- Imported images. If you use photo import, the screenshot or photo you select, and the text extracted from it.
- Settings and preferences. Display currency, notification preferences, and similar choices.
- Onboarding quiz answers, where you complete our web funnel.
- Communications. Messages you send us, such as support requests and feedback.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device and technical data. Device type and model, operating system and version, app version, language, time zone, and approximate region derived from IP address.
- Usage data. Screens opened, features used, session length, and interaction events.
- Identifiers. App-level identifiers, push notification tokens, and — where you permit it — advertising or attribution identifiers used to measure how you found the app.
- Diagnostics. Crash reports and performance logs.
We do not collect precise geolocation, and we do not request access to your contacts, your bank accounts, or your email inbox.
2.3 Information From Third Parties
- Payment processing. When you purchase a subscription, our third-party payment processor (and, where used, Apple Pay or another supported payment method) processes your payment and shares limited transaction and subscription-status data with us. We do not receive or store your full payment card number.
- Analytics and attribution providers. Pseudonymous or aggregated data about app performance and marketing campaign effectiveness.
3. Photo Import
If you import a subscription from a photo or screenshot, the image is sent to our servers and processed by our third-party text-recognition provider so that the service name, amount, and date can be read from it.
- The extracted values are shown to you for confirmation before anything is saved.
- The image itself is not stored. It is deleted immediately after processing; only the values you confirm are saved to your account.
- Images are not used to train third-party AI models.
- Please avoid importing images that show full card numbers, CVV codes, or other people's personal information. If you do, delete the entry and contact us.
4. What Your Subscription Data Reveals
Subscription names can be revealing — a subscription to a health, dating, religious, or political service says something personal about you. We treat your entries as confidential, use them only to run the Service, and never sell them, share them for advertising, or provide them to insurers, employers, lenders, or data brokers.
5. How We Use Your Information
We use information to:
- Show your subscriptions, totals, upcoming renewals, calendar, and statistics;
- Send renewal reminders and other notifications you have enabled;
- Provide cancellation guidance and links relevant to the services you track;
- Create and maintain your account and verify sign-in codes;
- Process subscriptions, manage billing status, and prevent fraud and trial abuse;
- Operate, secure, debug, and improve the Service, including developing new features;
- Respond to support requests;
- Measure our marketing and onboarding funnel in aggregate, and (with your consent where required) send marketing emails you can opt out of at any time;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.
We do not use your data for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
6. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:
- Service providers. Companies that host our infrastructure, process payments, run analytics, deliver push notifications and email, perform text recognition on imported images, and help with customer support. They may use the information only to perform services for us.
- App stores. Apple and Google, in connection with app distribution.
- Legal and safety. Where required by law or legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of SubStrike, our users, or others.
- Business transfers. In a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may transfer subject to this Policy.
- With your direction or consent.
“Sale” and “Sharing” Under U.S. State Law
Some state laws define “sale” and “sharing” (for cross-context behavioral advertising) broadly enough to cover analytics and attribution identifiers. To the extent our use of those identifiers counts as “sharing,” you can opt out as described in Section 10. We do not sell personal information for money, and we do not sell or share sensitive personal information.
7. Cookies, Marketing, and Tracking
Our website and onboarding quiz use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to understand how visitors arrive and convert. You can control cookies through your browser settings. In the app, you can manage tracking permission in your device settings (for example, iOS App Tracking Transparency). Declining tracking does not limit the core Service.
8. Data Retention
We keep your information while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, tax, accounting, dispute-resolution, and fraud-prevention needs. When you delete your account, your subscription entries are deleted or de-identified within 30 days, except where we must retain records (for example, transaction records required by tax law). Backups are purged on our normal backup cycle.
9. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, encryption at rest, and access controls. Because sign-in is passwordless, the security of your email inbox is the security of your SubStrike account — protect it accordingly. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access or know what personal information we hold and how we use it;
- Correct inaccurate information;
- Delete your information;
- Portability — receive a copy in a portable format;
- Opt out of any sale, sharing, or targeted advertising;
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information;
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out;
- Non-discrimination — we will not treat you worse for exercising these rights.
How to exercise them. Use in-app settings, or email support@substrikeapp.com. We will verify your request (usually by confirming control of your account email) before acting, and respond within the time your law requires. You may use an authorized agent where the law permits.
You can also, at any time:
- Delete your account in Settings → Delete Account;
- Turn off notifications in the app or in your device settings;
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails via the link in each email;
- Manage your subscription in Settings → My Plan — see our Terms of Use.
10.1 California (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents have the rights above. In the past 12 months we may have collected these categories: identifiers (email, device identifiers), customer records (name), commercial information (your subscription entries and purchase history), internet or usage activity, and inferences used to personalize the Service. We collect these for the business purposes in Section 5. We do not sell personal information and do not use or disclose sensitive personal information beyond the purposes permitted by the CPRA.
10.2 Other U.S. States
Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws (including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and others as they take effect) have rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of their personal data, and to opt out of targeted advertising and any sale. You may appeal a decision by replying to our response.
11. Where We Process Information
Amory Apps Corp operates from the United States, and your information is stored and processed in the United States. The Service is intended for users located in the United States; if you access it from elsewhere, you do so at your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local law.
12. Children's Privacy
The Service is for adults aged 18 and older. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, email support@substrikeapp.com and we will delete it.
13. Third-Party Services
The Service links to third-party sites — app stores and the cancellation pages of merchants you track. This Policy does not cover their practices. Review their privacy policies before sharing information with them.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy. If the changes are material, we will notify you in the app or by email and update the “Last Updated” date above. Continuing to use the Service after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
